Adding a hyperlink to text

Note: No matter what you're linking to in the text, this will be your starting point. 

There are two steps for adding a hyperlink to the text:

  1. click the ellipsis and select 'edit web content'
  2. highlight the text that you want to be hyperlinked
  3. click on the link button

From this point you can create different types of links.

Uploading documents via "documents and media"

To upload a single document, or several documents at once, go into the documents and media folder.

  1. to locate this folder, open the left-hand navigation menu, open Content and then select Documents and Media
  2. next, find the relevant folder by clicking through the category folders
    Note: If you need to create a new folder, click the big plus button and select “folder”:
  3. once you are in the correct folder, you can add one document “basic Document” or several at once “multiple documents”
  4. then, select "choose file" and give the document a relevant title
    Note: give files relevant and specific titles, otherwise they will be hard to find.
  5. to upload the file/s click "publish"

Linking to a document

To link a document in the text:

  1. click the ellipsis and select 'edit web content'
  2. highlight the text that you want to be hyperlinked
  3. then click on the link button
  4. go to Browse server
  5. Documents and media
  6. find the folder you want it to sit in the lowest relevant folder (e.g. Content creation instructions > create a training page)
  7. then click "select file"
  8. once you have chosen the file, select "open"

To add an image or a video to a page, please first check with [email protected] stating the reasons why an image or video adds value to your page.

The reason that we limit images and videos is that users aren’t interested in ‘decorative’ images that add no meaning. They can hinder the user experience by taking up space and increasing page load times - especially on mobile devices.
